Body Chains..Chain Reaction or Unchained Melody?

Okay,okay so the title of this blog is ridiculous and we refuse to pardon the pun as today we are super excited to return to our blog post and bring you all the latest fashion at high street prices!!


But anyway body chains were once for only the most daring of divas to wear but lately they are fast becoming an accessory staple in the wardrobes of everyone from our beloved KimK to the tv star turned fashion designer Whitney Port! Take a peak;

In both pictures Rihanna rocks the gold, slim body chain, but our fave is the bottom one, we just love the cross detail!

We love the way Angela Simmons chose a simple body chain,yet it isn't so simple that you can't actually see it! Teaming it with the gold bikini was genius, perfect combination!

Now don't worry, I'm not suggesting you all head out on the town in gold bikinis! Oh no, its far too cold for that nonsense..there are plenty of ways to work this trend without a tanned, toned beach bod! You can dress up any plain tee with a body chain (aka body harness) and teaming a newly glammed up tee with skinny jeans and killer heels can make the perfect outfit for dinner, or a night out, wear it throughout the day with boots to dress up some Autumn outfits!

Everyday is Saturday for some people!

So Saturday is probably everyone's favourite day of the week..the day for shopping, the day for seeing friends, dressing up, not working, and for many..it's all about Saturday night! But for whatever reason you love Saturdays, we here at Recessionista HQ love them for mainly one thing.........their style!

Ohhh yes they get us "All Fired Up" with their amazing, fun loving care free style! With a group of 5 chicks with an endless budget, and a passion for fashion you just know they've got something that suits everyone! They seem to effortlessly always get it right and the best part for us is the Irish Saturday, Miss Una Healy (well technically its Mrs.Foden now but if we used that name no one would have a clue who we were talking about!) Una is undoubtedly my favourite Saturday.. (resisting the urge to call her some cheesy mix of Una and Saturday like UnaDay..ooh yes I went there) she is stylish, fun and most of all, I love how she is representing Irish ladies all over the world!

So here are the Saturdays at an MTV VMA party with Perez Hilton earlier this month!

The peplum craze!

Peplum dresses..whether you have heard the name before or not, you've definitely seen the dress!

Peplum dresses are the life saver of all dresses, the shape creator.. emphasizing curves and hiding bulges..it is fast becoming a wardrobe essential and so with this blog we are not just stealing one celebrity's style...ohhh no..we're going much further than that so what follows are snaps of some of the world's most stylish ladies rocking the peplum trend.

Kardahsian Mania!

Here at Recessionista Styling HQ we are Krazzzzy about all things Kardashian (even mini ones a.k.a Kendall and Kylie Jenner) and so this morning we are loving Kim's look as she arrived at Miami airport to catch a flight to L.A...as you do.

Kim kept it simple by wearing very fitted leather leggings, a loose black vest top, court shoes, and the staple paparazzi shields..over sized sunnies to us mere mortals! Kimmy was a bit daring with a pattern filled blazer complete with multiple zips down the front. Have a look and see for yourselves.

We are seriously loving the return of the sling back heel, and this pair from River Island have us counting down the days until payday!

Paparazzi shields, a must have in the world of pap loving Kimmy, we think these vintage wayfarers from ASOS are just fabulous daaaahhhling and you too can protect your eyes in style for only €24.17!
